This month the spotlight is on our senior receptionist Jo. She has been part of the team for over 4 years and we’ve asked her a few questions to find out more.
1. What drew you to work at Hilton Chiropractic?
I wanted to be part of a small friendly team in the health field where I could utilize my customer service skills and admin experience. This is the perfect fit for my personality, interests and skills.
2. What are a few of your favourite aspects about working here?
I love the small team, the professionalism, warmth and caring nature of the chiropractors here.
I love the patients and enjoy having a chat with them so they leave smiling! :-)
The relaxed and friendly vibe we have here is something I am very grateful for, as it is important to be happy at your work place.
There are no two days the same, different patients, working with different Chiropractors and some very busy shifts, some more chilled days.
3. Has working in a Chiropractic clinic educated you?
Yes, I find I am much more mindful of my seated posture when I am at my desk. Sitting for long periods of time can be problematic but I find if I am relaxed, with a good upright posture I am less prone to shoulder and neck tension. Regular stretching and walking when I can is a huge help.
4. What have you learnt about yourself?
I feel a lot more compassion for people who are in pain.
5. And lastly, a few fun questions. What are your 3 favourite things to do?
I love getting involved in social experiments and flash mobs. I adore running my own business as I am a Cuddle Therapy Practitioner, certified Cuddlist and founder of Cuddle Haven, providing a safe space for others to receive and experience healthy, platonic touch focussing on consent, boundaries and good communication.
